Conditions We Treat
Whether your child has been diagnosed with a food allergy, you've struggled with seasonal sneezing for years, or you're dealing with asthma that's hard to control — our board-certified specialists treat the full range of allergy and asthma conditions in patients of all ages.
Food Allergies
Peanut & Tree Nut Allergies
Among the most common severe food allergies. Can cause life-threatening anaphylaxis. OIT and SLIT are available for peanut, cashew, walnut, hazelnut, pistachio, pecan, and almond.
Milk, Egg, Soy, Wheat, Sesame Seed & Other Food Allergies
We treat the full range of IgE-mediated food allergies including milk, egg, soy, wheat, fish, shellfish, and sesame. OIT and SLIT are available for most.
Respiratory & Asthma
Asthma & Wheezing
Asthma is a disease of the bronchial tubes causing spasm, inflammation, and mucus accumulation. Symptoms include wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.
Seasonal Allergies (Hay Fever)
Triggered by tree, grass, ragweed and weed pollen. Causes sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, cough, wheezing and congestion.
Year-Round (Perennial) Allergies
Caused by dust mites, pet dander, mold, and cockroach allergen. Symptoms persist all year and are often mistaken for frequent colds.
Skin Conditions
Hives (Urticaria) & Skin Reactions
Raised, itchy welts that can appear anywhere on the body. Can be triggered by foods, medications, insect stings, or environmental allergens. Some cases are not triggered by allergies and still require a thorough evaluation and treatment program.
Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis)
Chronic inflammatory skin condition can be triggered by food and environmental allergies. We identify triggers with both skin testing and patch testing and provide individualized treatment plans.
Contact Dermatitis
A skin rash caused by direct contact with an irritant or an allergic substance such as metals, fragrances, preservatives, or plants. We use comprehensive patch testing to identify the cause and develop a personalized treatment plan to help prevent future flare-ups.
Other Allergies & Conditions
Animal & Pet Allergies
Reaction to proteins in pet dander, saliva, or urine. Common with cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs, hamsters and rodents. Highly responsive to allergy shots.
Sinus Infections & Post-Nasal Drip
Recurring sinus infections, headaches, and congestion are often driven by untreated allergies. Treating the allergy breaks the cycle.
Insect Sting Allergy
Severe reactions to bee, wasp, hornet, or yellow jacket stings are a medical emergency. We can identify which insect is the cause and provide directed therapy.
Drug Allergies
We evaluate and treat allergic reactions to medications, including penicillin, sulfa drugs, aspirin, and many other medications. Through specialized allergy testing and supervised drug challenges, we can often determine whether a medication allergy is still present — allowing many patients to safely remove an inaccurate penicillin allergy label.
